Scott M B Gustafson is the principal of MAISON ORION. He has over a decade of professional experience and has worked at several award winning offices including Joe Architect, Marmol Radziner, M Charles Bernstein Architect and Yarnell Associates. Scott was born in Libertyville, IL and graduated from the College of Architecture, Planning and Design at Kansas State University. He is a LEED Accredited Professional with the United States Green Building Council, a member of the American Institute of Architects (Associate), the American Society of Landscape Architects (Affiliate), the Danish Architect’s Association Akademisk Arkitekt Foreningen, the National Association for Norwegian Architects Norske Arkitekters Landsforbund, Swedish Association of Architects Sveriges Arkitekter, the International College of Architects and Urbanists and the International Union of Architects L’Union Internationale des Architectes. He is a registered architect in Denmark, Iceland, Norway, and Sweden. Scott also serves as the Development Director of the Los Angeles chapter of Architecture for Humanity and is president of the International Fountain Pen Society. Scott has been a guest studio critic for the architecture programs at Kansas State University, the University of Kansas, the University of Southern California, Cal Poly Pomona, Pierce College in Los Angeles and the University of Huddersfield in the United Kingdom.
Scott is a member of his local public radio station and his favorite color is orange.
