Shawn Benson, Assoc. AIA, RAD
Shawin Benson is the Digital Fabrication Laboratory Manager in San Diego. He's a principal designer at Side Yard project, a design office and workshop specializing in space design and custom built objects.

Casey Benito
Casey Benito is a Los Angeles-based designer and educator. Casey is a recent graduate of the Southern California Institute of Architecture where he received his master’s in architecture. Casey is currently employed at Michael Maltzan Architecture, an award-winning, international architecture firm based in Los Angeles. He also holds a bachelor’s degree from the University of Hawaii and an associate’s degree in photography. Casey has traveled extensively throughout East Asia, and, in 2007, lived in Kyoto, Japan, where he studied Japanese aesthetic arts and crafts.

Justin Brechtel, RA, LEED AP, Principal
Justin established his practice in 2007 with an emphasis on bridging his research interests in fabrication technologies and emerging material innovations with construction methodologies. In addition to his practice, Justin is an adjunct lecturer at the University of Southern California School of Architecture where he teaches undergraduate and graduate level courses in building information modeling, design technologies and rapid prototyping techniques. He is a graduate of the Master Science in Advanced Architectural Design program at Columbia University and has a Bachelor of Architecture degree from CALA at the University of Arizona. Justin is a licensed architect in the state of California and a LEED Accredited Professional.

Eric Johnson
Eric Johnson is adjunct faculty at Woodbury San Diego. Previously he worked at Rob Wellington Quigley, FAIA and Rinehart-Herbst Architects.

Karni Hadidian
Karni Hadidian graduated from Woodbury University in 2011 with a Bachelor in Architecture. While there, she was the supervisor of the Woodshop. Her thesis focused on the Generative Role of the Detail: how architectural design could begin at the small scale and grow to a larger space. After graduating, she became the Assistant Manager of both the Digital Fabrication Lab and the Wood/Metal Shop at Woodbury. Meanwhile, she freelanced with various architects working on model making, site measurements and architectural drawings. Additionally, she started a furniture fabricating business with her partner called LA Fabrica, which originated from continuous commissioned pieces.
