‘Pasta in Bed’ presents the first year students’ explorations of dynamic material properties in the context of a domestic setting. The installations show how both common and exotic materials can respond to changing environmental conditions as well as to the presence and actions of visitors.
The works have been produced in a month-long workshop which is part of an ongoing collaboration between SAC, Bollinger+Grohmann Ingenieure (Frankfurt), Royal Melbourne Institute of Technology and Grimshaw Architects (London).
"Smart and Kinetic! - Werkschau I"
SAC hosts Axel Ritter, reknowned German expert in smart materials and kinetic structures. The presentation will take place in room I9 at Städelschule's main building from 14:00
