The UWM School of Architecture and Urban Planning’s (UWM SARUP) Mobile Design Box and TRETOW are excited to announce the debut exhibition in a brand new pop-up gallery series that will transform a vacant storefront at Milwaukee’s The North End development into a hotspot for
showcasing emerging UWM SARUP alumni designers. The inaugural exhibition, ‘Exhibition 001 | TRETOW: New Works’ will open with a launch party on Milwaukee Gallery Night, January 16, 2015 from 6pm - 10pm.

Mobile Design Box was realized through the vision of Mo Zell, Associate Professor and  ssociate Dean at UWM’s School of Architecture and Urban Planning. Zell recognized a gap in the awareness and promotion of Milwaukee’s best young designers and has organized a series of exhibitions at Mobile Design Box to highlight Milwaukee’s latent design talent.

The debut exhibitor TRETOW, creators of The Urban Lifestyle Collection of furniture and lighting, have already garnered attention within the Chicago design community. In summer, TRETOW received “Best in Show” honors offsite at NeoCon, as juried by a panel including the CEO of Crate & Barrel. TRETOW’s Mobile Design Box exhibit will be the first time the award-winning work is shown in Milwaukee.

TRETOW’s exhibit will occupy the space from Jan. 16th - Feb. 28th, 2015.
Mobile Design Box will be open to the public at regular intervals throughout the
duration of the exhibition. The first exhibit is generously supported by UWM SARUP, Mandel Group, Plumen, and LEVEL Visuals.
