Last week assistant professors Kyle Miller and Martin Summers lectured at the AIA Kentucky/AIA Indiana Annual Convention hosted at the Lexington Convention Center. Their talk featured concepts, considerations, and projections concerning responsive/kinetic facade systems. Additionally, Kyle Miller presented recent research on possible applications of interactive technology within contemporary, performative facade design. He presented two of his latest research projects, titled "Organized Crime" and "Active Models". Summers presented "CalTrans" and "Phare Tower", two projects he made significant contributions to during his tenure at Morphosis in Los Angeles.
