Dar Al-Hekma University as a learning community is committed to the furtherance and enhancement of creativity, excellence, intellect and independent thinking among its students. The graduates of Dar Al-Hekma will be capable of bringing about positive change for the betterment of self, family, society and humanity with the aim of serving and pleasing the Creator. The University awards bachelor’s degrees to students who successfully complete a four-year, University-level curriculum. The University is managed and operated by highly qualified Saudi and expatriate faculty and staff to provide the highest standards of academic services.
Program content, methods of teaching and learning, co-curricular activities and support services are integrated and focused on developing graduates who are competent in their chosen fields, committed to life-long learning and prepared to contribute to the betterment of their society and humanity at large. A University Academic Preparation Program is offered as a bridge between the student’s high school curriculum and the entrance requirements of the University. The University also offers continuing education and extension courses to meet the needs of women in the community for professional development and personal enrichment.
STATEMENT ON MINISTRY APPROVAL
Dar Al-Hekma College (now Dar Al-Hekma University) was approved by the Ministry of Higher Education of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia to operate as a degree granting institution of higher education starting September 1999 under Decree No. 7/b/4453 dated 3/4/1420H. The academic degree programs of the University are designed to meet national as well as international accreditation standards.
THE CAMPUS
Dar Al-Hekma University is housed in one integrated structure consisting of 26,500 square meters, which can accommodate up to 1,500 students. The academic space includes classrooms, computer labs, science labs, faculty and administrative offices, and a library, all of which are equipped to provide a state-of-the-art learning environment. Space for student services and activities includes prayer rooms, counseling and career services center, health services, recreational facilities, offices, meeting rooms for student clubs, lounges and common room, gym and cafeterias.
