The Chur Institute is a private foundation for architecture at the heart of Grisons building culture. Its Master of Architecture program offers students a truly unique opportunity to continue their studies in an English-speaking graduate school environment in Switzerland. The institute consists of a pool of alternating lecturers and critics, like Gion A. Caminada, Jürg Conzett, and Andreas Hagmann.
The study abroad program of the Chur Institute offers students of architecture and structural engineering an intensive graduate education in the discipline of architecture. This cross-disciplinary approach provides mutual support and inspiration, opens new forms of collaboration, and allows for surprisingly new perspectives on the design and construction process.
By placing its primary emphasis on the interrelations between knowledge and practice, the institute cultivates new synergies between the educational and professional worlds. Participants of the architecture program will compile and develop methods that address questions on construction in all its physical, material and economic aspects.
