Cambridge, MA
Sarah M. Whiting, an esteemed architectural theorist and urbanist, will deliver a lecture titled Dynamic Wholes at the W.M. Keck Lecture Hall. As the Dean of the Graduate School of Design at Harvard University and a partner at WW Architecture, Whiting brings a rich interdisciplinary approach to her practice. This event will explore how the contemporary metropolis functions as a network of complex systems, bound by movement, time, and economic exchange, presenting architecture as an ever-evolving entity within political, societal, and economic contexts. The lecture will draw from Whiting’s broad research in modern and contemporary architecture and its connection to public life. It offers a valuable opportunity for architects and urban designers to engage with concepts that interrogate the role of architecture in shaping urbanity and public space.
