Scarpidis design is a New York based multidisciplinary design firm fusing architecture, interior design, furniture design, lighting design and art into one bespoke experience thoughtfully crafted around our clients’ needs and desires. We are a collaborative studio that makes our clients dreams come true. While we mostly focus on high end residences, we also take on special boutique commercial projects. Some of our recently completed projects include an Upper West Side pied a terre for clients of ours living in London, the headquarters of a modeling agency on 5th avenue, a 4,000sf Tribeca loft which was gut renovated all the way down to accessories and art consultation. Currently we are working on several lofts and penthouses in Tribeca, Soho, Flatiron and the West Village. Our entry in the Venice Biennale competition  entitled Dissonance Dell 'Aqua for a floating pavilion in front of Piazza San Marco which incorporated a museum, a gallery and a library awarded us with a one out of ten Honorable Mention out of over 5,000 entries.

Yorgos A. Scarpidis Principal
Before starting Scarpidis design, Yorgos worked at The Office of Thierry W. Despont as an Associate for major residential and commercial luxury projects in New York, London, Paris, Istanbul, Bahamas, Hamptons and Saint Moritz over a continuous solid ten year span. Prior to working with Thierry, Yorgos worked at Gwathmey Siegel & Associates Architects and Clodagh Design International after receiving his Bachelor of Architecture degree from Pratt Institute with honors.

Architectural Design
Architectural design is the core of Scarpidis Design.  Our team is driven by the passion to understand our clients and their space through our vision of translating experiences through details based on our client’s dreams. Our goal is to build custom luxury environments that function specifically to the needs of our clients.

Interior Design
Scarpidis Design provides interior planning/design and refurbishment. Every project’s aesthetic emanates from close collaborative relationships with each client in order to achieve optimal results. There is no surface or element within a project we work on that we do not implement our combined design aesthetic.

Furniture Design
The Scarpidis team designs furniture for its clients in order to create a distinctive style that expresses their personal environment and crafts experiences that people fall in love with. We create fully immersed designs that tell a consistent story throughout the interior journey. We are currently creating our own line of furniture in conjunction with our made to measure custom pieces.

Lighting Design
Nothing changes the feel and atmosphere of a built space more dramatically than lighting. Thus, the Scarpidis team works with lighting technicians and designers in order to create lighting schemes which will optimize our client’s personal environments. Simultaneously we are also designing our own light fixtures that add an element of design even when the lights are off.
