About

I am an architect and interior designer, a visionary leader driving the strategy, design and execution of multidisciplinary projects to transcend limitations of program and create enhanced value for the client through establishing compelling “why” for projects. I have over fifteen years of experience in all the phases of design and management for projects of varied scales and typologies including commercial, residential, hospitality, retail, office and nonprofits.

I grew up in Calcutta and dreamed of becoming an architect since the age of fifteen. At eighteen, I left home to study in the US. The journey exploring uncharted territories gave me the confidence to approach challenges with imagination and possibility. I continue this journey by pushing boundaries of design, opportunistically integrating multiple disciplines to create a dynamic vision of impact for every project. I am passionate about innovating user experience through a customized narrative that unfolds through its spaces.

I won “BD+C 40 under 40 2014” title and publication cover feature and “ENR NY Top 20 under 40 2013” title which celebrates the design excellence, career achievement and service of emerging leaders. I was honored with “Professional Achievement Award” from the Society of Indo-American Engineers and Architects NY in 2015. I was awarded Permanent Residency in US for  “extraordinary ability” in the field of Architecture. My work has been published in leading international design publications including Architectural Record, World Architecture News, ENR, BD+C.

I received an MArch from UPenn and a BA in Physics, Math and Art from Luther College. My unique background enables me to achieve a careful balance between performance and form to create meaningful settings. I have taught at UPenn, Cooper Hewitt,City College,SVA. I served as the Founding Director for Architecture for Humanity NY.

I have been training as a meditation teacher for six years. My practice informs all aspects of my work.
