The house for two families is an experimental house founded on the idea of the current 'peer to peer' culture of sharing. With more people moving towards cities and metropolitan regions, the use and value of land has become increasingly part of the process of building and designing.
As metropolitan areas insist on more sharing of space, the concept for the house is to increase 'shared space' while still holding onto some of the traditional suburban qualities of private home ownership.
All the basic public functions of a home are shared by the two families on the ground floor; the living room, dining room, kitchen, laundry, courtyard, garden and swimming pool.
The first floor caters to the private needs of the two families. Both have their own family rooms, bedrooms, bathrooms and study rooms.
