We first saw the light of day in 2005, establishing our roots in Peshawar, Pakistan. We operate with a strong family feeling, with a team of professionals steering the company on a straight course
towards success!

Samun was initially Naqoosh Architectural consultants transformed to Samun Associates in February 2005 founded by Arch. Zahid Usman. We believe design can and should fulfill the twin briefs of functionality and pleasure and that there should be no boundaries between art, sculpture and architecture. The word ‘Samun’ encapsulates their design– reformation, renew-vation, responsible and pleasurable.

We believe in social responsibility and sensitivity towards architecture and design, which differentiate it from other fellow organizations. We consider ourselves responsible to the environment, society and are a body of few distinguished social individuals who have been serving the nation since few decades. For us design is not a commodity, it reveals the application of human ingenuity to the satisfaction of human needs that are ever changing and evolving.

Samun is an architectural and design practice that aims to tease all of the human senses and to sculpt architecture into the living environment in which it exists, whilst retaining complete functionality. The practice draws its passion and inspiration from our past, organic forms of nature as well as technologies transferred from other industries. Striking a balance between actual projects and experimental projects is crucial to enable them to remain at the top of their game. We maintain the delicate balance between conceptualization, to product positioning and an effective performance. We have helped influence consumer preferences and upgrading lifestyles.

By working on a variety of building types in numerous locations we continuously enrich the knowledge in our practice and the buildings we produce. We are concerned with all things architectural in the broadest sense, be it urban or interior design, cultural, commercial or sociological matters. Instead of producing repetitive designs, our work evolves from rigorous working methods that include collaboration with specialist consultants, extensive use of three-dimensional studies, and comprehensive research of our projects sites.
