Veil Restaurant- We were asked to take an existing building shell and transform it into a restaurant or retail space. I chose to design the space to suit an 'experience' while dining out in New York. Some of the design concepts were the use of Chef's tables to engage the guest in the dinner experience, the use of various dining areas to be able to chose what experience you wanted to partake in that night from and outdoor bar, piano bar, individual seating, or cluster seating. Not only was the arrangement of the space apart of the design, but the idea that the food would be a farm to table, organic palette to allow for a pure experience of the food.
