SALTBOX Design Group is a Manila-based Architectural and 3D-Visualization company established in 2012. The team is comprised of Architects Rodel Soniel and Maria Joy Salilig, both of whom received their Architectural Degree from University of the Philippines Diliman. They have been collaborating since 2007 on residential and commercial projects that include design and construction works. The company services clients locally and abroad.
DESIGNERS
RCSoniel was an apprentice of Arch. Marie Cancio, an accomplished designer and urban planner. After his graduation in 2004, he worked at CTOnglao Architects as a draftsman and 3D renderer, providing perspectives to clients like Baguio Country Club, Ayala Land, and Aboitiz. In 2006 he joined Ms. Tina Periquet with her Interior Architecture and Lighting firm, and in the process, gaining knowledge and principles in Interior Design. RCSoniel started his own professional practice in 2008 working on residential, commercial projects and provided 3D rendering services for local architects and international architectural firm such as Leigh and Orange (L&O) that is based in the Middle East and Hong Kong.
MJSalilig was an apprentice of Arch. Prosperidad Luis, who is a successful practitioner and former dean of the College of Architecture in UP Diliman. During her apprenticeship, she was involved in several government and hospital renovation projects, and has collaborated with the international design firm, Llewelyn Davies Yeang (LDY). In 2007, she worked for Dominic Galicia Architects as the lead project architect for various high-end residential and hospitality projects. In 2009, she immersed herself in retail design by being a Store Planning Supervisor for Robinsons Retail Group.
