25TH OF JANUARY MEMORIAL CENTER

TASK :

 The task was to design a memorial center to document the events of the revolution with attached culture zone within the project.

 

CONCEPT : 

Using the street blocks which was used to block the streets in 25th jan. revolution to create the spaces of the project and these blocks are used in three forms to inspired from the phases of the revolution (concrete blocks, glass blocks, and green blocks).

 

ARCHITECTURAL CONCEPT :

The projects start point is the Egyptian museum at Tahrir square and it connect the museum with the project throw direct axis which consist of this blocks to form some spaces used by people on the outside are in multi functions and the drawings on this blocks will be changed by the time and events to document the political states of Egypt. and then in the end of this axis the main plaza which directs people into the halls of the memorial center under the Tahrir square or to the culture zone in front of Makram Ebid mosque.
