2013 - Business Center: Sintra, PVC & Plexiglass

Carried out the design of a business center, and developed the corresponding blue prints in AutoCAD, and completed the project with the construction of the model with PVC, Sintra and Plexiglass.

Located in a neighbourhood containing mostly factories, my design intends to promote the growth and development of various businesses.  The main objective was to generate a workplace and to create a public space that integrates the community.

I chose to take the longest building, dividing and forming a strip so as to define a central outer space, thus allowing the building’s connection with a green landscape as opposed to large cement space around the block.  The constructive and spatial system allows for the reconfiguration of spaces in future programs.

The main public access and arises from Lynch Street, into a large hall where various office spaces diverge.  This main public access also contains commercial space and an exhibition hall/community center, a multipurpose room of 324 m2con, with windows that open to the great patio.

On ground level seven 80 m2 offices are proposed.  In the first floor, the project has 7 offices measuring 58 m2 each, overlooking the courtyard.

The business center also has a dining bar which expands to a terrace located above the exhibition hall/community center, with views to the courtyard.

On Traful Street is the secondary and private access, for staff use.

I received an A for this project.
