Hello! My name is Susan MacDonald and I go by Carrie. I was raised in the Twin Cities area and hope to pursue an architectural career in the area I know and love. I am currently in the fourth year of my five-year professional architecture degree at Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute. When I graduate I will work directly in the architectural field and work towards becoming a licensed architect.

Thus far I have had an expansive education where I learned to take on many roles within the architectural world. Throughout my experience at RPI, I have mastered many different systems of design including Rhino, Grasshopper, Revit, AutoCAD, Sketchup, Photoshop, Enscape, Twinmotion, InDesign, Illustrator, Ladybug, and Keyshot. Through this experience, I have proven to be a quick learner with strong attention to detail.
We have a hands on education with a intensive architecture studio each semester as well as technical classes to expand our understanding of the architectural field and its opportunities. I have also taken advantage of their 2023 Latin America Study Abroad program that allows us to travel and work directly with architecture students from Córdoba, Argentina.
