This short video revisits 18 infill projects completed over the past decade in The Greater Toronto area, to see how they have survived within their contexts, finding the right balance between adapting and resisting to what is around. Yet, these crops of their live moments and their simultaneous play on screen inspire deeper questions about architecture in general, beyond the sum of their specific projects: what is existence; what is time; what is nature; what is place; what is circumstance; what is life in relation to architecture? As each footage appears and adds its sound, one comes to "hear" their presence, not "see." The "pixel" of each project fades away, and their mysterious unity and anonymity rise to reveal that architecture is something alive and profound.

Project X is a self-initiated project at Atelier RZLBD to welcome and celebrate its 10th anniversary in 2020. It covers a wide range of projects in diverse formats, from limited edition prints to videos.
