I am Ruchika Shah, an Architect who graduated with a Master’s in Interior Architecture with a focus on Adaptive Reuse in the Rhode Island School of Design (RISD) in June 2019.

In the past I worked with a multidisciplinary studio in Mumbai where I had the opportunity to work on the concept design to production phases of several retail stores like Kunal Rawal, Good Earth India and Private Collection Doha. I also had the chance to design huge luxury Clubhouses, lobbies and landscaping for large residential projects. Additionally, I have worked on set design, visual merchandise and furniture projects. On these projects, I worked on the various phases: From curating mood boards to developing design concepts to drafting production drawings as well as finally supervising the progress on site, I got a taste of it all.

I believe that these gained experiences coupled with my education – B.Arch and now MA, helped me understand materials, their restrictions and strengths; dynamics of spaces and helps me understand how an office works - collaboration, organization and the various stages of a project. I am a keen learner and have an eye for details. I am confident that I can contribute to the ongoing projects as I am great with collaborations and coordination.

I possess strong technical skills and am proficient with AutoCad, Rhino+Vray+Grasshopper, Adobe Suite, laser cutting, Wood and metal workshop to name a few; that aid technical production drawings, renders, diagrams, models and more.
