I am a B.Arch graduate with a Philosophy minor from Syracuse University School of Architecture, graduated in the spring of 2019. My undergraduate thesis sought to take a critical stance on the future development of urban form in New Jersey, and the necessity of the redistribution of people and resources in the state. The topic sprouts from my interest in urban planning and critical theory, as well as philosophy and dystopian fiction. I have worked previously on an urban renewal proposal sited in Medellin that fostered this interest, as well as a large scale reinterpretation of Prora that looks at a similar monumental scale. I wish to continue to investigate architecture at the urban scale as well as new building typologies that reinterpret how program functions in an "urban" context. I believe architecture can begin to mediate the detrimental social, economic and environmental effects being brought on by our society, and want to continue to work in a critical capacity toward possible solutions.
