Currently, I work as a junior architect in New York City, working and drafting over 30 projects that range from residential buildings to public schools within the last 3 years. During this time, I leveraged a sense of perseverance into resolving any plan or zoning objections from the Department of Buildings (DOB), Landmarks Preservation Commission (LPC), School Construction Authority (SCA), and Department of Consumer Affairs (DCA) in a short amount of time. Also, I served as an intern manager, where I mentored fresh graduates and international students about the New York Building industry.
Growing up in the Philippines, I have constantly experienced my fair share of powerful and debilitating typhoons. The aftermath of these storms has forced me to develop a resiliency that I now carry into everything I do. I welcome new challenges with an excited vigor in hopes of learning new knowledge and applying them in new situations, as well as imparting them to future generations.
