My name is Diego Salazar and I am a Mexican-born artist and aspiring architect. I received my B. Arch from Cooper Union for the Advancement of Science and Art. I am an excellent 3D-modeler and a decent renderer. Currently I am taking some time off to work on personal projects but I am open for part-time or freelance work.

_Managed the interior design for a new and ongoing construction project on 78th St. and Lexington Ave., developed by Midwood ID. Designed the lobby, lounge, and all kitchens in the project. Took the project through Design Development, 50% CD, and 100% CD.
_Was part of several design projects, including an extension to house in the Rockaways, a beach house in Turks & Caicos, a two-story apartment in the Upper West Side of Manhattan, and the new flagship fashion store for Alice & Olivia in Miami, Fl.
_Created several 3D models and renderings, as well as colorized elevations, and drafted plans and elevations, including furniture and all finish aspects.
Roman and Williams Buildings and Interiors, New York, Freelancer 3D Modeling
I have worked on a few freelancing gigs with Roman and Williams. My role has been to create 3D models and make any desired adjustments to furniture and lighting of their choice for their projects. My models are then imported into their 3D space in whichever 3D software they use to be able to be texture mapped and rendered.

As a Computer Monitor, I was in charge of managing printers, plotters, and assisting students in various softwares.
As an Output Monitor, I managed the use of the Laser Cutter and Gypsum-based & Resin-based 3D Printers.

Mostly created intricate 3D models for their current and ongoing projects. My models would then be inherited by the team's renderer. I also did some 2D design.

My duties mostly revolved around translating construction sketches into CAD. I also participated in some space layout diagrams.
The Cooper Union, New York, NY, US, BArch, Architecture
The Architecture program at The Cooper Union takes students through many areas of the field of architecture. The first two years are open-ended, introductions into the field, from the conceptual to the detail. The later years are more specific about their sites and influence on communities, as well as the architecture language used by a student. A steady study of Calculus, Physics, and History of Architecture accompanies each year.
