I am in my fifth and final year at the Marywood University School of Architecture pursuing a Bachelor of Architecture degree. I have taken additional Autodesk Revit training through Harrisburg Area Community College this past summer and am comfortable using the program. I am very confident with my skills in AutoCAD 2015 and the Adobe Suites. I am a very organized person and strive to work as efficiently and effectively as possible. I work well with others and never have a problem doing more than what is required of me.
For the past three summers, I have worked for two different construction companies alongside engineers and architects. The first company was PAME Construction, Inc. who focuses in rigid steel construction. During that first summer I worked on two projects from start to finish. I worked on everything from pouring foundations to framing to installing soffits. For the past two summers I worked at Connor Design-Build in Harrisburg. I was able to work on a number of projects both designing and fabricating. I worked on projects varying in scale and program. I have installed flooring for the old Hershey Chocolate Factory renovation, remodeled a classroom at the YWCA of Harrisburg, and remodeled a number of residential kitchens, bathrooms, and living spaces. I have a much better understanding of how things are made and a greater appreciation for detailing. I have discovered a passion for both architecture and its interior workings.
During my five years at Marywood I have designed projects ranging from theaters to environmental centers, temporary pavilions to prefabricated structures, and urban context to rural topologies. I have a passion for all facets of design not just architecture. I want to work on projects of all different scales and program.
