A recent graduate of UTK CoAD program, I enjoy the process of construction and the results of design. I have been working in Atlanta, GA with Houser Walker Architecture for the past year.
I have an interest in applying construction and design to communities in need. I believe whole-heartedly that design has the ability to make our lives better and, unfortunately, those most in need of design can rarely afford it. The answers to the problem of resources, or the lack thereof, lie in how we manage them.
I am excited by new technologies that enable entirely new thoughts of design in complexity and, at the same time, amazed by the potential of the simplest of structures.

The building project currently being constructed is the 2010 Cumberland student housing, an approximately 182,000 sq ft mixed-use design/build residential project.
I am currently working with the GC to help ensure the architect's drawings are carried out in installation, as well as reviewing submittals given by contractors for any issues. Checking for waterproofing, correct dimensions, possible collisions, product data and code compliance. As well as maintaining data and records of the project's progress for review with the owners.
I took this job during my last semester in college in order to have a better understanding of the construction process and the interactions between architects, owners and contractors.

Worked with Professor Spaw in a Digital Fabrication techniques class, helping with the CNC router and helping students with Rhino and grasshopper plugins. Class concluded with student designing and building a 1-1 scale model of the efforts.
