Rita Orlov Rosenfeld was born in Russia, and lived in Israel and Canada before settling in the U.S. After spending her childhood drawing and painting, she discovered her passion for three-dimensional work during her time at the Rhode Island School of Design. In the furniture design program she relished in the making of functional but sometimes surprising objects, and experimenting with textiles in her designs. She will continue making things with a spirit of joy and curiosity, and hopes to evoke that same spirit in those who view her work.
