The product of an invited competition, this project responded to a complex urban context that involved streets at multiple levels, complex topography, and significant cultural buildings in close proximity all to be resolved with a very tight budget.  The team used a few simple formal moves to respond the various conditions and to create a simple but strong massing strategy.  The solidity of these 3 volumes is offset by the screen facade that stitches the volumes together.
