I am an architect and artist from Black Rock, Connecticut. I pursue a design philosophy rooted in human experience and history, informed by the classical traditions of cultures across the world as well as the phenomenological experiences of everyday encounters and memories.
A childhood fascination with drawing and studying the workings of the natural and human world was nurtured through study at Judson University, where I completed both my undergraduate and graduate degrees. Since graduating in 2013 I have been a part of a team designing an architecture founded in the relationship between the natural landscape of a place and the cultural context using traditional arts and crafts in both design and construction.
My objective is to secure a position at a firm working in traditional architecture and design where I can continue to develop the skill set I have built through academic and professional experience, earn IDP hours, and make meaningful contributions to the work done by my employer.

At Hamady Architects I was a member of a five person team working on residential architecture. These projects ranged in size from interior renovations of single rooms to 35,000 sq ft
renovation and additions, and I was involved in every stage from initial schematic design through construction administration.
I contributed to the work of the firm through:
• Masterplan development in hand drawings and 3D modeling,
• Design of interior and exterior profiles and moldings,
• Drawing of Construction Documents
• Site Visits.
I also assisted in winning the firm three Stanford White Awards through preparation of award submission drawings as well as contributing to the architecture winning the award.
Richard Swann Architect, Fairfield, CT, US, Junior Architect
In my time here I gained experience in developing a design with clients. As it is a 3 person firm, I was able to see and be a part of the many different processes that are involved in the development of a design, from the initial design to working with builders.
Much of the work I did while working here involved:
-Constructed drawings using AutoCAD, consisting of elevations, both interior and exterior, and plans as well as details.
-Constructed schedules of doors, windows, finishes, plumbing, and appliances. This involved working with suppliers to track down product information.
-Built physical and digital models.
