I am a 25 year old Part 2 Architectural Assistant who has just completed a Masters in Architecture where I received distinction in thesis documentation and distinction in exhibition design and implementation from University College Cork, Ireland. I have one year post graduate experience working as a part one assistant where I gained experience working on retail, residential and commercial office schemes. I am relocating to New York on the 16th March 2015, and will be available to commence working on the 1st April 2015, this being the date on which my work visa commences. I opted to seek experience internationally so that I might be able to expose myself to a different culture within the industry.

I was tasked with the preparation of planning application packets for both city and county councils in the Cork/Kerry region in residential, commercial and office orientated schemes. Aided company director with the preparation of site surveys, early stage design drawings and models, tender stage design documents as well as construction stage detail documents. I was also responsible for the submission of Disability Access Certificate documentation and Fire Certification documentation. Updating Archicad and Autocad files was a daily duty. Responsibilities also included corresponding with clients regarding their queries via phone and email. Attending site visits with company director and attending area engineer meetings with him also.
