Leading polymer manufacturer REHAU and manufacturers’ representative Equipco Ltd. are thrilled to announce their expanded partnership that fortifies support in the mechanical and plumbing market throughout western Canada. On May 1, Equipco began representing REHAU polymer-based solutions for mechanical and plumbing systems in British Columbia, building upon their existing partnership in Saskatchewan and Manitoba. The partnership between REHAU and Equipco combines decades of technical knowledge and application expertise, providing contractors, engineers and wholesalers with a highly skilled support network.

Since 1982, Equipco has been committed to building strong relationships with distributors, contractors, engineers, architects, designers, builders and building maintenance personnel. The industry leading manufacturers’ representative carries high-quality products from companies in plumbing, heating, HVAC/R, electrical and smart home industries. The Equipco team includes approximately 35 employees, who collectively bring more than 650 years of industry experience to their customers. Founded in greater Vancouver, Equipco has spread its roots coast to coast, now boasting over 14,000 sq ft of professional office and warehouse space to maximize pallet positions and efficiencies.

Driven by enhancing lives for 75 years, REHAU manufactures polymer components built for long-term performance in mechanical and plumbing systems. The backbone of REHAU systems is RAUPEX® crosslinked polyethylene (PEXa) pipe, first produced in 1968 and now used in heating, plumbing and geothermal applications. PEXa offers benefits over copper and other polymer piping such as cost-effective installation, enhanced temperature and pressure capabilities and corrosion resistance. REHAU offers a complete plumbing system solution with RAUPEX UV shield pipe and fitting options. In 2017, the company pioneered the proprietary REHAU EVERLOC+® compression-sleeve fitting system, providing plumbing contractors and installers with quick yet secure connections. Offering a range of products to meet the needs of the mechanical and plumbing market, REHAU additionally provides components to be paired with RAUPEX O2 barrier pipe in radiant heating or cooling and snow and ice melting applications, including PRO-BALANCE® manifolds and EVERLOC+ R-20 connectors. Regardless of the application, RAUPEX pipe has a 25-year limited warranty. The high-quality, trusted products developed at REHAU are backed by a team of product experts who will work alongside Equipco representatives to deliver comprehensive project support to customers.

“REHAU is excited to expand their partnership with Equipco to foster strong relationships within the mechanical and plumbing market in western Canada,” says Mark Hudoba, vice president of REHAU building solutions for the Americas region. “Equipco’s depth of industry experience and dedication to long-standing customer relationships paired with our high-quality mechanical and plumbing products will make a positive difference in this market.”

“Equipco is excited to be named the representative of REHAU,” says Jason MacKenzie, managing partner of Equipco. “We look forward to growing sales through our strong market relationships with engineers, wholesalers and contractors. We offer several other complementary hydronic products and anticipate strong synergies in pairing them together.”
