ENVIRONMENTAL AWARENESS
BY SELECTING EARTHEN MATERIAL FOR THE CONSTRUCTION OF
THE CULTURAL CENTER, THE BUILDING MATERIAL WOULD BE
ALWAYS AVAILABLE BY THE LOCAL RESOURCES AND REMAINS
EFFICIENT FOR ANY FUTURE REPAIRS AND DEVELOPMENTS.

BY USING FLEXIBLE METHOD OF CONSTRUCTION, CONSTRUCTION
WOULD BE POSSIBLE WITH LOCAL CONSTRUCTORS AND VOLUNTEERS
THAT WOULD BE FINANCIALY AND SOCIALLY SUSTAINABLE FOR BAMIYAN.

LOCAL MATERIAL THAT IS HARMONIOUS WITH THE NATURE WOULD
REMAIN ECOLOGYCALLY SUSTAINABLE BESIDE THE PASSIVE METHODS OF
USING NATURAL RESOURCES LIKE PV PANELS AND SOLAR SYSTEMS.

PHYSICAL SPECIFICATIONS OF RAMMED-EARTH CAUSE TO SAVING IN
LOSS OF ENERGY AND PROTECT INSIDE FROM SEVERE CHANGES OF
WEATHER DURING THE SEASONS. 

BESIDE THE FORMAL EXPRESSION OF THE BUILDING THAT FOLLOW THE
ESSENSE OF HISTORICAL BACKGROUND OF BAMIYAN, THE TEXTURE OF 
RAMMED-EARTH WALLS INTERACT WITH THE WORLD HERITAGE PROPERTY
AND INTEGRATE NEW ACTIVITIES TO THE WHOLE ONGOING LIFE IN THE VALLEY.

  • MODULAR UNITS EASE THE FUTURE DEVELOPMENT
  • VARIED AND HARMONIC FORMAL COMPOSITION DUE TO THE URBAN FABRIC 
  • CONSONANT SKYLINE INSPIRED BY VERNACULAR ARCHITECTURE
  • OPENING VIEW AXIS TO THE BAMIYAN VALLEY AND BAZAAR
  • INTEGRATION OF THE CENTER AND CULTURAL LANDSCAPE BY
  • VISITORS AND ACTIVITIES ENGAGEMENT TO THE LANDSCAPE
  • STRAIGHT VISUAL AXIS TO THE EASTERN BUDDHA CLIFF
  • LOCATING AND ORIENTING OF VOLUMES ARE BASED ON THE 
  • MAXIMUM USE OF NATURAL LIGHT AND BEST VIEWING AXIS TO THE VALLEY AND BUDDHA CLIFFS
  • AS WELL AS INTEGRATING PUBLIC SPACE BETWEEN THE BUILDINGS AND ACTIVITIES
