Centre for Blind and Visually Impaired, Dwarka, New Delhi (Ungraduate Thesis Project)
Through this thesis, the main aim was to design a centre which would help a user with visual impairments lead a confident and independent life; by providing comprehensive spaces to meet his needs from early age.
This thesis doesn’t intend to design a space which compensates the loss of vision, but a space which has its concept rooted in developing the students through their remaining senses. The careful consideration and balance of touch, sound and light are integrated into the building design creating an extensive learning centre.
