About

I am a recent graduate of Rochester Institute of Technology with a Bachelors of Fine Arts in interior design and a minor in advertising and public relations.
I am passionate about sustainability and hope to start on a career path after graduation that incorporates sustainability and new technology into projects. In December 2012, I passed the LEED Green Associate exam. In the coming years, I  plan to continue my education by becoming a LEED AP in the workplace. Currently I am student member of IIDA, I look forward to becoming a professional member and being apart of that community when I graduate.  I have enrolled in NCIDQ with my current internship position and I look forward to becoming certified once I've obtained the required amount of experience.
Personally, I enjoy running, biking, swimming, traveling and cooking. I grew up swimming competitively for 12 years and was part of RIT's swim team. Swimming taught me one of my most valuable lessons of dedication and time management skills.
Two summers ago I studied studied abroad learning about art history and design in Paris, France. That experience has truly been one that has stuck with me.  From this trip I developed a greater appreciation for art history and developed inspiration from classic European architecture.

Employment

Wegmans Food Market, Rochester, NY, US, Design Development Intern

My primary tasks are to help designers with CAD drafting for the companies store remodels and additionally help package permit sets going out to construction. I have gotten the opportunity to work with a variety of architects, designers, and engineers with this experience. I have learned the values of team integrated design, organization and time management skills, and close mechanical and electrical coordination with designs.
