About

Through artistic exploration and self-growth, Interior Design is a fluid and vibrant profession that combines creativity, technical expertise, and conceptual thought. During my junior year in high school, I had the opportunity to attend the Drexel Interior Design Summer Program which solidified my desire to be an Interior Designer. As an Interior Design major and minor in Architecture, I hope to bridge modernity and tradition through a problem-solving dynamic. As a first generation American and member of the LGBTQAI+ community, my ethos revolves around inclusivity to create welcoming environments.

At Drexel University, I have served as the Class Representative since freshman year for Drexel Interiors Group (DIG). Currently, I am the president of the board, focusing on providing fellow students opportunities to connect with professionals and gain industry experience. I enjoy mentoring younger students and collaborating with faculty during open houses to present our major to prospective students.

As school transitioned to a virtual setting during Covid,  I worked for clients creating vision boards, hand-drawn perspectives, and material palettes to communicate the end vision. Furthermore, I cooped at NELSON Worldwide and focused on material selection, space planning and construction documents. Currently, I am an intern at Eimer Design where I maintain the materials library and help select finishes for projects. Through these experiences, I have learned that designers have the freedom and privilege to choose materials that can impact the environment. By attending industry events and networking opportunities, I strive to learn and absorb all the exciting elements of our field.

As the student representative for NEWH (Philadelphia) and the current recipient of the 2022 student NEWH scholarship, I am filled with enthusiasm for change and determined in my  approach toward inclusion.

Upon graduation, I see myself working amongst a cohort motivated to improve wellness and safety for all through meaningful and creative design. Through this process of growth, I hope to be an Interior Designer who creates environments that inspire the commonwealth to be individuals of love, happiness, and creativity. My future will be rooted in ethics, artistry, and ingenuity. It is with that philosophy that I strive to learn every day at Drexel, ultimately allowing me to be a more responsible, knowledgeable, and adaptable designer in the future.
