Chamber Chapel

The lighting of the main façade of the church is divided into three levels, each with a different intensity and color temperature. The spotlight on the spire of the bell tower is the brightest and is the visual focus of the facade. The second floor is the main entrance with three holes above, and the warm light overflows from inside to outside. The entire façade is bathed in dim light with proposed adjustments, a third layer of lighting treatment.

In the main entrance, we integrated a series of bright white linear lighting fixtures into each part of the arch. Here, we created a stunning entrance by emphasizing the drama of the building, designed to provoke an emotional response and leave a lasting visual memory for church visitors.

The curved shape continues into the interior of the church. As part of our process, we leverage 3D modeling and visualize relationships to analyze the relationship between space and lighting. Through our research, we were able to determine exactly where on the curve of the ceiling the best fit was for this stunning architectural element.

Surrounding the angelic building is a reflecting pool, the most striking feature of the site's landscape. One of the top floors of the swimming pool is like glass and is dark black, which contrasts with the towering snow-white church. Our choice was not to install lighting directly into the pool, but to rely on energy reflected from the façade. The pool becomes a mirror, creating an unforgettable otherworldly visual.
