Pulp Studio, the leading designer and manufacturer of technically superior decorative glass, was honored with three esteemed accolades in 2024. The company received a Glass Magazine Award in the Best Interior Decorative Glass category for a Louis Vuitton storefront in Atlanta, Ga. and a USGlass Magazine Sustainability Award. Additionally, Pulp Studio also earned the USGlass Readers’ Choice Awards for its Precision Edge Technology in the Specialty Glass category.

“We’re truly honored that Pulp Studio has been recognized by our industry publications this year,” states Kirk Johnson, Chief Executive Officer. “These awards reflect our dedication to pushing the boundaries of glass design innovation while maintaining a strong commitment to sustainability. At Pulp Studio, we strive to lead in environmental efficiency and responsibility, consistently blending ingenuity with eco-friendly practices to create glass masterpieces that look good while doing good.”

Glass Magazine Awards: Best Interior Decorative Glass

The Glass Magazine Awards celebrate projects that exceed industry standards and code requirements, pushing the boundaries of past achievements and what previously seemed possible. “The Louis Vuitton storefront by Pulp Studio uses glass in the most detailed and intricate fashion,” says Glass Magazine Awards judge Austin Zajichk, marketing manager, Linetec. “The texture, use of material embedded in the glass and purposeful reference to handbag design is what makes this project stand out.”

The newly renovated storefront in Atlanta, Ga. pays homage to the brand’s heritage and craftmanship with an innovative Epi glass façade – the first and only design of its kind in the U.S. The storefront was constructed of two thick blocks of backlit glass with a custom inner layer and laminated. The glass itself is embedded with stainless steel and sculpted to replicate the fashion brand’s signature textured Epi leather pattern seen on bags and wallets. This project was completed in partnership with Bluewater Glass.

USGlass Magazine Sustainability Awards

The USGlass Magazine Sustainability Awards honor products, companies and individuals for their contributions to designing and creating high-performance, sustainable architectural glass façade. These awards spotlight efforts that reduce carbon emissions and promote environmental awareness, health and well-being. Pulp Studio was recognized for its commitment to environmentally responsible manufacturing and recycling practices.

Pulp Studio has implemented numerous sustainability measures, including recycling wastewater, adopting a full-color water-based paint system, maintaining a non-VOC environment, and recycling materials like glass and metals. The company also manages stormwater through a closed-loop system and is transitioning to 100% solar energy with a two-phase plan.

USGlass Readers’ Choice Awards

Readers voted on a selection of products, from glass and metal to machinery and equipment and much more. Voters selected their favorite products via a survey sent to subscribers and winning products received the most votes among the nominees.

Pulp Studio won for Precision Edge® Technology in the Specialty Glass category. The exposed edges on glass handrails are an aesthetic detail that is imperative for the integrity of the design. Precision Edge® complements the design by providing a high-quality, zero-tolerance finish, with perfect alignment for both tempered and annealed laminated glass railings.
