About

With over 7 years of architectural work experience in the NY/ NJ area, a Masters in Sustainable Design and a Bachelors of Architecture, I am currently seeking a full time opportunity as a Project Architect.

My interest in architecture lies in green buildings. I am a LEED AP. Have worked on a couple of LEED projects in my career. I designed, documented and did the LEED online documentation for a small Sustainability center in upstate New York that was selected as a Green Building of America Award- winning project and was featured in a 2009 issue of Real Estate & Construction Review-Northeast Green Success Stories Edition.

I am a very enthusiastic, organized and responsible person. Love working in teams with like-minded people. Positivity and people skills are my plus points. My NYC/NJ work experience so far includes large scale commercial projects, multi-storey mixed-used buildings, educational projects, hotels, armory, police station, commercial interiors and currently working for a developer on a high-end 650,00 sf apartment complex in NJ which I saw through from conception to construction.

Outside of work I pursue my hobbies with equal passion. My interests in fashion lead me to start my own fashion blog, which has since been published in 2 books, multiple magazines, newspapers and online publications. I was also interviewed by Archinect.com [where I found this job listing] in their series called “Architects Working Out of the Box” right after they interviewed “Pinterest” co-founder Evan Sharp. I am also a freelance fashion writer for VOGUE India.

As a creative person who is very interested in cultivating her skills in architecture with emphasis on green design, I would love the opportunity to do so at a creative NYC firm. Please feel free to contact me if you need any further information.
