About

With over three years of professional experience as a junior architect and intern in India and a post-professional master's from Cornell University, I am confident that I can bring a combination of design skills and practical experience to the role. My journey in architecture began as a third-generation architect in my home in Mumbai, India, and it has evolved into a dedicated pursuit of learning and experimenting with architecture through my academic and professional endeavors.

While at Design Consortium as a junior architect in India, our firm collaborated with the State Government of Maharashtra on a project to rehabilitate five disaster-struck villages within three months. This experience provided valuable insights into community engagement, master planning, and project management. It also showcased my ability to deliver efficient results within tight timelines. Additionally, I honed my design and technical skills through participation in a housing project competition, where I navigated complex building codes and optimized occupancy calculations to deliver a winning proposal in two phases. Effective communication with clients, drafting construction drawings, and coordinating with consultants strengthened my skill set and confidence.

My undergraduate program gave me a solid foundation in design development, building technology, and detail resolution. I have pursued a Master's in Advanced Architecture Design and urbanism. Through my design studios, I delved into contemporary challenges, such as climate uncertainty, and explored how architecture could offer feasible solutions by studying climate reports and leveraging vernacular and advanced technologies. We used QGis to study the evolution of geographical mapping to observe flood patterns and settlement changes. After collaborating with students from a local architecture school in Bangladesh, we designed a circular system to benefit local communities in the face of climate challenges. During the Spring studio, we were introduced to Artificial intelligence, which enriched my design process as I integrated it into architecture through image generation to design a pavilion precedent followed by a casino and bathhouse. My academic and professional experiences have instilled in me a strong sense of confidence and efficiency as an architectural designer.

I can significantly contribute to your firm by bringing my unique blend of skills and experiences. Committed to ongoing professional development, I am also preparing to sit for professional certification exams. Thank you for considering my application.
