This architecture is designed with the purpose of acting as a guide to the ancient wine making process. It is created to expose the process that most are unaware of, as wine these days seems to only be known in a bottle. The visitor is required to leave behind all memories and worries that an urban setting provides, and has to venture into a walkway that descends into the earth.

The building digs into the site and only provides one dark enclosed entrance that later is strategically opened at key points to display the chronological steps of wine making. We first move inside the earth where the plants grow, and are then introduced to fermentation tanks, followed by storage barrels. The visitor is then finally led out into the light, a glazed open space that renders homage to the fields of grapevines by looking out to the valley that is the only reason this architecture even exists.
