This project in „Sea Towers” took us about 6 months. That was the time when we built up the walls, brought in the wood joinery and the whole interior was basically created.

It was supposed to be a very luxurious apartment created for both: just weekend stays and permanent living. All those functions were planned in a way that the layout was divided into the living area – opened to the public, and into the intimate part with the bedroom and bathroom. What needs to be underlined is that we started out with basically nothing, a very empty space which we have given shape and function that it was supposed to have. The main focus was firstly on the view from the windows – you can see a panoramic view of the Baltic Sea. It was the major factor in all the later assumptions. A lot of horizontal diversions and very careful choice of colors. We wanted the view to be in the foreground during the day. The investor liked our idea of light, basic colors, the lighting that gives a unique atmosphere especially in the evenings, so we could bring it to life.

In this interior we have a unique sheet of black glass, behind which we hid a TV together with the surroundings made of tempered, black glass. This glass protects the TV from the heat coming out of the bio  fireplace. It was an idea of creating an integrated wall, which from the beginning was supposed to be the media wall, but in the end we decided to put it together with a highly decorative bio  fireplace which provided us with the beauty of fire. It was a huge challenge for us, because we needed to provide certain materials and finishes that would meet all norms and requirements of installing the bio  fireplace – mainly fireproof issues. The culmination of that wall is a graphics of our design, very important for our client, as an element of the flow, which we observe every day in the Baltic Sea or in Gdynia which is nearby. It now creates the depth hidden behind the TV and bio fireplace.

The initial assumption of our client was that we should operate with light colors. White was the main one that was supposed to complete the whole interior. To create the contrast we implemented deep black elements like the glass wall and the rug. Another element of color was the orange, which was one of our client’s favorite colors. We have to underline the fact that we used the light as a major element of the interior which was very important for us and the client. It is the light that in this clear white space creates many different outcomes, thanks to its color change.
