“Imagine” captures the essence of nurturing, caring and safety, in a spectacular display of light and color at the Omaha Children’s Hospital and Medical Center. The installation is located on the corner of Omaha’s main thoroughfare that cheerfully greets over 70,000 people every day.  

Nineteen shimmering umbrellas spiral up a 75-foot-tall stainless steel ribbon inside the window-encased stairwell of the Children’s Hospital while five larger-than-life bronze children celebrate the joys of life on the outside lawn.  

The umbrellas, each painted copper, silver or a combination of both, contain programmable LED lights capable of more than 16 million colors and combinations.
