About

For the past three and a half years, I have been the project manager solely focused on the concept, development, and completion of a city commissioned building that Gschwind Architekten was rewarded to build in a competition. Based near Zurich, it’s a public building containing 6 kindergarten units, a music school, and teacher rooms. My role as project manager required me to be involved in the design processes, developing construction details, coordinating a team of architects at the office, engineers and specialists, collaborating close with the construction site manager, as well as participating in weekly meetings with the contractors and the client.

I began my career with an apprenticeship as an architectural draughtsperson in the office Bauzeit Architekten. There, I fundamentally learned to draw architectural plans. Moreover, I was taught to develop construction details and to build architectural scale models. I was able to learn about architectural competitions, projects and constructions on private houses, home units, industrial and commercial buildings, urban design, heritage and conservation in a professional environment. After four years, I graduated the apprenticeship with Vocational Baccalaureate. In addition, I worked for three years as an architectural draughtsperson. During this time, I had the opportunity to have my first experience as a construction site manager for a private house. Also, I coordinated the planning processes which extend my professional experience and knowledge. I was able to work in all the phases of a project’s lifecycle. Finally, I decided to go to college to work through and discover my own architectural language. Moreover, I wanted to participate further in the design process of a building. In 2010, I started college at the University of Applied Sciences and Arts Northwestern Switzerland FHNW in Muttenz near Basel. I graduated in 2013 with a Bachelor of Arts in Architecture. Shortly after graduating, I worked for almost a year as a construction site manager for a private client/house before I started my work for Gschwind Architekten.
