This 100,000 GSF new school had numerous design challenges. A "T" shaped site and the adjacent elevated subway line. A clever system of isolated foundation elements and careful planning in the schematic phase minimized the impact of these factors. The result was a unique cost effective exterior envelope that housed a wonderful bonus "town square" space for art and education.
