Perched on the South Rim of the Grand Canyon, Bright Angel Lodge is not only a national treasure, but a shining example of rustic architecture envisioned by famed architect Mary Jane Coulter 75 years ago. This complete remodel touches virtually every part of the historic lodge - three restaurants, two lounges, a bar, the historic lobby/reception, as well as museum space, retail, offices, back of house facilities, and a new, state-of-the-art, $2 million commercial kitchen. Part new construction, part reinterpretation, part historic preservation, this LEED certified project brings this gem of the National Park Service into the 21st Century to meet the needs of its over seven million visitors per year.
