Architectural Designer for a renovation and 150,000 SF addition to an existing airport terminal including Architectural, MEP, Security and TSA equipment coordination. Several goals were identified prior to, and during schematic design, through owner & architect/engineer meetings, for security and access improvements at the airport, including post check-in baggage screening and improved passenger screening. Building Information Modeling using Autodesk Revit was utilized for the design along with clash detection/coordination using Autodesk Navisworks. A LEED rating of gold is being sought. Project cost: $63 million.
