The proposed exterior renovation is a series of shade canopies that respectfully steps down to the residential neighborhood and keeps the bulk of the activity from the disability center near the active public park.  The shade canopy is a light intervention that follows the arches of the existing building and integrates a native Arizona material: the Ocotillo.  Ocotillo is places in between polycarbonate panels and the shadows of the Ocotillo play on the roof and shade panels of the structure.
