Yankee Stadium Frieze Reliquary

This project was done for the Integrated Design Studio 2 class at Lawrence Technological University in the Spring of 2010. The project site was in the meat packing district in southern Manhattan in New York City. The project was to design a reliquary in which we had to design one object and use that objects theme through the building. I chose the Yankee Stadium frieze that hung in the original stadium from 1923 till renovations in 1973. I chose the frieze because it was a symbolic piece of the old stadium and was so iconic that the architects brought it back into the design of the new stadium.
