Primary and Secondary School and Kinder Garden

Our project consists of 4 organized volumes that make up an educational complex.

The fundamental premises of the project were to generate internal clearances, covering the multiplicity of variants in the granting of space over time. We have given great importance to the design of these spaces since we believe that the pedestrian level in a school must be deeply thought to school life. We take the built to generate uses and propose ways of appropriation of space.

The complex is inspired by the cloistered model, this is the traditional design for educational buildings. However, we have worked this design of teaching so that spaces were open and generate more free connections. We first proceeded to mark areas and functions, then separate them. Finally, we are looking for all the facades will have natural lighting and present opening to foreign, private and public spaces.

The school, which is the main building of the complex, is "L"-shaped and extends through the ground becoming the busiest sector of the Park. Both wings of the main block is linked from a general Hall of income that distributes and sectoriza areas of the school.

With regard to the construction system, we have used metal and masonry already enveloping structure that the subject and program for the project started from the fifth national contest of architecture in steel 2012. The structure of the main volume was resolved with metal columns and profiles. The "L" is modulated in its entirety in order to mechanize construction.

As for the infants, the geometric distribution of the volumes of the Kinder Garden, is consequence of the formal distribution of the program in which you try to protect the most vulnerable students and at the same time give them a space for outdoor use, distinct from the rest of alumnos. The block of the Kinder presents a  similar morphology to the dining room, both make up the complex revenue.

The gymnasium design intended to link it to the green area, achieving an interior space with good natural lighting and visual and physical connection with all of the complex. The volume of the gym presents two fronts with opening to the exterior.  It is composed of 7 reticulated steel gantry and a damp masonry core. As for the envelopes we seek permeability of natural light, and resistant materials activities that take place within the building. The upper part consists of fixed micro-perforated metal panels and the bottom of oxidized pivoting panels that copied the envelope of the set as a whole.
