The first phase of this master planned development for UC Irvine includes a 400-bed student housing complex which creates a sense of place for the community through a shared organizational system of landscaped open space, building courtyards, and socially-activated linkages. It establishes a building scale comfortable for residents and provides a historically-based, yet updated and forward-looking crafted architectural character with texture and sensitive pedestrian scale. Also included in Phase 1 is a 7,000 sq. ft. addition to the existing UCI Infant Toddler Center.
