I worked closely with the Atherton Library Building Steering Committee (ALBSC) on the site analysis and evaluation of several proposed sites, program and cost modeling analysis and best practices for the new Atherton Library. Each site was analyzed and evaluated based on three prerequisites: Planning/Zoning Code, Site Character and Cost/Schedule. I researched and developed diagrams to visually convey our findings to the ALBSC and the Town of Atherton. I developed preliminary site plans for the two selected sites (the existing library site and the proposed park site at Holbrook Palmer Park) based on the 9,800 square foot program template developed by our library programming consultant. The intent of the site plans was to explore opportunities to integrate the building with the sites based on the project goals and objectives that were previously established. I also gathered community feedback through focus groups and helped organize and conduct two community charrettes.
