This project is a renovation to an existing Sanctuary built in the mid 1950's originally constructed with a single toilet room for each sex and with a total occupant load of over 400. The project is is designed in three phases with the first phase addressing the primary issue of ADA access and restroom facility compliance and subsequent phases addressing Sanctuary expansion both for congregants and for Pastoral staff.
Phase One included the removal of a major portion of the front of the existing church and existing steps, sidewalk, gardens, while retaining the existing original Bell Tower. The new design incorporates large men's and women's ADA-compliant toilet rooms and a family-toilet room while also enclosing a large foyer in order to address the harsh winter weather so common in this mountain town. The old toilet rooms were renovated into a new Cry Room with large dual-pane glazing, stain-grade casework, and textiles and carpet for a warm, inviting atmosphere. Additional rooms included a new Brides Room with private Restroom, Vesting Room with private Restroom, additional storage room, and new Janitorial room.
